Pain,disappointment,sadness=OFFENSE

Have you ever been hurt before? Disappointed at others? Expected something & got exactly the opposite? Ever been saddened by someone,something heartbroken?

Honestly, I do not know one person who can answer any of these questions with a NO.

This is something we can all relate to.

But did you know that offense is a tool used by Satan to hinder us in our walk with God?? WHAT?? SERIOUSLY??? YES...think about it....you get upset because a certain person didn't react the way you expected...or the way you wanted them to...such as you are kind,faithful to your coworker. You go out of your way to help them with their duties, you even started giving them rides to work.

Well you are in a rough spot and low on cash and you kindly ask can they please give you a few dollars because you are running low on cash, as you have never asked before. The response you get is "I thought you were a friend, & your begging for money?"

WOW? What a surprising response...you thought the person would say sure or maybe later,but instead they are rude & disrespectful to you.

I mean I think we can all agree we have helped others who when we may needed that same help, we did not get what we expected.

As a Christian the bible says "DO NOT BE EASILY OFFENDED". PROVERBS 19:11

If I was to begin harboring hatred toward that coworker, slandering them, or simply allowed myself to get out of character,reacting in anger....i have just opened a door in my heart to hatred,bitterness etc.

This is why God tells us GUARD YOUR HEARTS! PROVERBS 4:23

IF i follow God's suggestion in Proverbs and not be easily offended I would just say "I am your friend man,don't worry about it...but we may not get to work laughing as I tell him truthfully the situation.

Then I also pray for my fellow coworker. God will then work through your prayer & convict that person of their wrong behavior.

We know every actions has a reaction.

We can choose to be offended and let evil take root in our hearts or we can take that pain,suffering,disappointment, whatever it maybe & simply PRAY & LITERALLY GIVE IT TO GOD.

SURRENDER IS THE HARDEST THINGS SOMETIMES! I SOMETIMES CRY WHEN GIVE MY PROBLEM TO GOD BECAUSE MY FLESH WANTS TO RETALIATE.

BUT EVERYTIME I LET GOD FIGHT MY BATTLES I KNOW I HAVE THE VICTORY.

IN ORDER TO STAND WITH HIS PEACE I HAVE TO STAND & KNOW HIS PROMISES AMEN

WHEN YOU ARE WEAK THEN GOD IS STRONG 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9
