Faith that Walks on Water

For awhile now, God has been drawing my attention to the story of Matthew Chapter 14. Where Jesus is walking on water during a storm & his disciples when they see him doing something "abnormal" walking on water they become afraid of what they do not understand? Sound familiar? So much to learn God is revealing to me in this story.

The disciples (follower of Christ) although followers yet are still lacking some revelation, knowledge, and spiritual maturity. This is so important because they did not understand how it is possible that Jesus is walking on water & their first reaction was fear of the unknown. My people perish for lack of knowledge.(Josea 4:6) Notice Jesus did not condemn their lack of spiritual knowledge. When we see others who do not understand some spiritual things of God we must not debate, or divide we must pray for them. Amen.

But notice one out of the twelve was more seeking more wanting to know how is this possible?

Peter although he felt fear HIS FAITH spoke to Jesus & said if it is you bid me come Lord....

Peter tested the spirit by doing this,he boldly told the son of God if this is you Lord....you have the power to make me walk on water as well. So in contrast Peters faith was so bold he had seen Jesus perform miracles in the past that something in his spirit urged him also to walk on water.

Has God ever asked you to step out of the boat? Maybe he is standing there as he was with Peter saying I am here...Jesus tells us in his word that he gave us even more power to to do more things

John 14:12,13 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I am going to the father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my namek, that will I do, that the Father may glorified in the Son.

he is not a far off God no he is with us. He is in us. He breathed life into us and we live by the very breath & word of God's mouth.Genesis 2:7

In this season God wants us to have Peters faith. This will require much. Sacrifice, surrender, loss of control, walking into the unknown, inconvenience, & uncomfortable & uncommon situations he will call us to as he waited for Peter he waits for us.

Like Peter if we doubt, have worry or fear, this will cause us to sink.

But take heart it will not overtake you. Your faith will not fail, because the savior himself walks with you.

As he held Peters hand to walk through the stormy water know that he is holding yours as well.

WALK ON IN FAITH PRESS FORWARD THROUGH THE STORM.

YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED THAT YOUR GROWTH OF FAITH IN THE STORM HAS CAUSED YOU TO WALK ON WATER.
